Cards Take Two | London

Hey there pals, how you all going'
Good? Good. So as you can see I am back in the swing of this whole blogging thing (rhyming, whatup rap lyf) so I am going to continue until ma phone rings! HA

That was fun!

Ok though, back to business.
Last you heard (yesterday) I was flying to London, but that my friends was something that I did nearly 5 weeks ago. Ma bad.
So there will be a few posts about my time here, but I am going to kick it off with another funny card post.
For some reason, the UK just does cards really and I mean REALLY well. They have multiple stores that are just for cards! Its so great!
My favourite card shop is one called Scribbler in Islington.
I just stand in there and laugh to myself looking like a mad woman that I am.
Here are a few that I have found.

These were from the V&A

And of course these were from Scribbler

Hope those made you chuckle as much as they made me look like a lonely loon in the shop.
Love always

Our Turkish Sail and last days with Maria

Hiya there,
This is Fethiye on the south coast of turkey.
We stayed here before Greece, after Greece and before our week long sail, and afterwards before we went up to Istanbul.

These literally cost us 1.50 AUS, Pomegranate Juice and so amazing!

Family Photo

Our pal the turtle

On the sail, we would stop multiple times per day in a sheltered cove to swim. The water was always so blue and clear that you could nearly always see the sea floor below you and all the many varieties of fish going about their everyday business.

Our little window in our "couple cabin."

Believe it or not, but these are all mini fish!

This was taken on a little island that is only accessible via boats. It was beautiful.

Homemade icecream

We ate the most amazing food, and lay on the deck in the sun. Read novels and had such a great time.

Back in Istanbul we booked into our most expensive night and the best place we'd stayed at the whole trip together. Finishing with a bang. This photo was taken about 3 minutes after we arrived.

This photo was taken at the end of the evening. We made a nest of pillows and watched movies and went through some photos of our trip together. Which was a fitting last night of us backpacking around Europe together. As I was flying out to London the following Morning and Maria to India the following afternoon.

After a hurried hug in the dark I jumped in a taxi and before long found myself at the airport.

This is the mist over Istanbul in the morning as I flew out.

I had the best 4 and a half months travelling with Maria through Europe and couldn't possibly have asked for a better travel companion. But now for a month in London which was going to be a lot slower but equally enjoyable.

10 Days In Rhodes | Greece

Ok ok I know its been ages and ages,
and I am well overdue for getting back into this, but I'll have you all know I have been living life to the fullest with less internet (i.e no internet at home, meaning that cafes with wifi are my only communication with the other side of the world) I have enjoyed myself but am now trying to get back into business. I.e I still don't have wifi at my hostel so am now sitting in Starbucks...who would have thought....typing away as the sky darkens outside and rugged up Londoners hurry past.
But I am getting ahead of myself and you are probably wondering why this is titles 10 days in Rhodes if I am obviously in London. So I will back it up a little and elaborate for you all.

I'm not going to say much about our time on Rhodes, as there really isn't much to say.
A lot of time was spent listening to Harry potter on audio books in the sun on the beach. Sleeping, eating and watching a lot of Sex and the City which I only realised that it was actually called that, not "Sex in the City" when Maria started laughing at me. Sometimes I don't know how I manage to miss these things, and only find them out a lot later then everyone else.
We had a wonderful ten days.
Bar the journey over from the Turkish coast which was in the morning after a storm that had gone on the whole night before we embarked. Meaning that much of the journey was spent, on my part feeling horrible, using one of those disgusting plastic bags they give you, and curling up in the fetel position on the floor of the ferry. Not the best fun.

All the pictures downwards are of the main town on the island, where we spent a day exploring the little side-lanes and enjoying getting a little bit lost along the way.

So I hope you enjoyed that I will try and get our week in turkey on a sail boat before I fly to thailand on thursday...
